The Extreme Extenders were designed to solve ADAT Optical distance limitations. The Extreme Extender ADAT In converts ADAT optical to HearBus CAT5E cable. Using CAT5E the effective length of an ADAT Optical interface can be extended up to 500 feet. This is accomplished without any loss of audio quality. The ADAT "Thru" out offers a buffered pass-thru for connection to local ADAT devices.
